I love this book and love Marcela’s show. The recipes are simple, yet full of flavor and quick. This book is a nice change of pace from the standard cookbooks. I’m looking forward to more from Marcela in the future.

My quick and short review: I like Mexican Made Easy. Actually, I just got my copy so I haven’t had a chance to spend a great deal of time with it yet. But from what I have read and seen so far, I would say the title fits.
The recipes I have tried were easy; they called for ingredients most of which I already had on hand – others I just had to go to our local supermarket, nothing weird or that I couldn’t find; and the flavors were extraordinary and authentic.
Also, something important to me – lots of nice color photographs. Something I think every cookbook should have but sadly many do not.
If you like Mexican cuisine and want recipes which are easy, don’t require you to spend the whole day in the kitchen, and call for nothing but everyday ingredients, I think Mexican Made Easy is the book for you. The more I peruse my copy, the more I like it.
